big kids

Yesterday Jess and I spent the day at Universal Studios Singapore. We were as excited - if not more excited - as children on a day out.

The day began somewhat inauspiciously - there was torrential rain, although we soldiered on and valiantly took on the Battlestar Galactica rollercoasters, rain smattering our faces...

On the plus side, the rain seemed to have discouraged most sane people from attending the park, so we didn't have to queue whatsoever for any of the rides. Next we went on the Revenge of the Mummy rollercoaster before visiting Far Far Away for the Donkey Live show and Shrek 4-D experience.

We then went to New York to meet the Madagascar clan, experience a Steven Spielberg special effects show and watch a breakdancing troupe...only for me to be dragged up to take part as well!

Next stop was Madagascar for a ride on the water safari and a jungle carousel - we both managed to choose the animals that finished really high up and had some hilarious difficulties trying to climb back down! We then watched the Waterworks show and met more characters before riding a pterodactyl in Jurassic Park and stopping to admire two topless Egyptian males - the first we've seen in several weeks; no wonder we were flustered!
