It was my birthday a few days ago, and my mummy gave me a beautiful card with this picture on it:
Henry Clarke, 1954
The model's Balenciaga hat is made of - drum roll, please - white swansdown. Wow. Vogue claimed the hat was 'sophisticated as a poodle' and its fabulously fluffy glory attests to the description perfectly.
Guess who passed their driving test this morning? BOOM.
Vogue, March 1929
Now all that's left is for me to acquire a gorgeous vintage Cadillac and cruise around with the top down wearing a wide-brimmed hat and oversized sunglasses. Although given the amount of rain we're getting at the moment, perhaps that's not the most practical of ideas.
